Yahoo introduced a new browser named Axis that works equally on smartphones and Windows.
According to VentureBeat, the browser runs on iPad and iPhone as a separate standalone browser and as an extension for Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, with support for Android and Windows Phone coming soon.
What is special about the Axis Browser extension:
Since a lot of browsers are already used on iPhones, iPads, and Windows pc, then why Axis…? The answer is given by Yahoo:
First of all, Axis is a browser extension that can be used equally with Chrome, Firefox, or Mozilla. Moreover, Yahoo itself called it a “search Browser”.
That’s why Axis offers a faster, smarter search with instant answers and visual search previews.
The search bar, complete with horizontally-scrolling site previews, mimics what Axis looks like on a desktop computer.
