Fortunately Google TV has options for individuals to experience the real time live sports broadcasting. So follow the steps:
- Launch the YouTube TV app on your digital streaming device.
- Select any playback screen on any sports channel.
- Click on the three dot menu icon under the timeline.
- Select the Broadcast Delay option.
- You will have options to choose : Decrease for 48 hours or Default. You need to choose “Decrease for 48 hours.”
- It’s done now. You will notice the difference in broadcast and the lagging time and there will be less lagging as before.
It is also worth mentioning here that setting of Broadcast Delay for YouTube TV will be applied to other apps automatically and you don’t need to repeat them for each one individually. Delay in broadcasting is enough to handle poor video streaming. However, reducing the delay may affect quality of the broadcast or rebuffering that may be annoying for some viewers.
It may be keep in mind that the broadcast delay will better work with high internet connection. So if you feel repeated playback issues while streaming than you may switch back to Default settings and let YouTube decide the best for you.
