- Launch the YouTube TV app on your digital streaming device.
- Select any playback screen on any sports channel.
- Click on the three-dot menu icon under the timeline.
- Select the Broadcast Delay option.
- You will have options to choose: Decrease for 48 hours or Default. You need to choose “Decrease for 48 hours.”
- It’s done now. You will notice the difference in broadcast and the lagging time, and there will be less lag than before.
It is also worth mentioning here that the setting of Broadcast Delay for YouTube TV will be applied to other apps automatically, and you don’t need to repeat it for each one individually. A delay in broadcasting is enough to handle poor video streaming. However, reducing the delay may affect the quality of the broadcast or rebuffering, which may be annoying for some viewers.
